06 Mar Preserve your Wedding Videos
In this digital ere, we are receiving digital downloads and USB’s more and more with content to keep safe.
We at Louise Shrigley Wedding Films no longer provide our clients with DVD’s or USB’s (unless ordered as an extra) but we deliver a digital gallery that is yours for life and yours to download and keep as you wish.
Today it’s easier than ever to deliver our films as USB, Photographers have been doing this for years. Luckily for them, they can easily fit an entire day’s worth of images onto a 4GB flash drive . As wedding videographers, we’re faced with a slew of obstacles with this format.
1. Different drive formats
2. File size restrictions
3. Variety of file formats
4. Different tastes for USB presentation packages
Hence us now delivering digitally so our clients can choose how to back up their films on their chosen media. We are now working with Mediazilla where our clients can copy their films into their own account and keep the files online for life, even if we stop using the account.
When it comes to looking after your Wedding Films there are many things you can do to keep them safe…
The Main one – is Backup!!!
USB’s and hard drives are pretty amazing but they are not indestructible. They can break easily or even get lost as well as stop working. The only way to prevent your films from getting lost is to back up to other USB’s, hard drives and the cloud – such as your Google drive and Dropbox accounts. We always recommend at least three backups in different houses and online, even with our Mediazilla digital gallery we have given you.
